Coffee & Tea Collective
Curator’s note
The Ethiopia carries an artist name, Diandra Stithe, and a series number, 018, while the coffee inside is named no further than Uraga Guji. A house that roasts what it sells could name the farm, and this one names the artist.
The coffee
Stephen Freese roasts for the company, and the roasting and production area sits at the back of this room, past the espresso and pour-over bar. The lineup runs Tanzania Peaberry, Burundi Busambo and Burundi Remera beside two house blends, Ampersand and Tandem.
The room
SIDEYARD Project drew this room and the one that came after it, and the signature all-white wall carries through both. The plan is long and narrow, with open seating up front that leads down the length of the room to the ordering station.
