Jon Runion worked eight months in this storefront in 2021, when the address was Copa Vida, then left to open a shop of his own. When the space came free he took it himself, for the least romantic reason a founder can give: he already knew the room and what it could be.

Roasting runs on a San Franciscan SF-25 at the California Roasting Collective, a shared roastery in the same city, off greens from experiment-minded Colombian producers including Elkin Guzman and Nestor Lasso. Poursteady PS2 machines handle the filter side, with Costa Rica arriving through Selva Coffee.

The La Marzocco Linea EE AV on this bar is bright pink, picked for this address inside a room otherwise done in the house cream and coral with sage green accents. Specifying an espresso machine by color is a decision about how a room should feel, made before anyone poured anything in it.
