The bags go deep — the Ethiopia Guji names the Sewda Washing Station, 1,850 to 2,100 meters, natural with a 12-hour soak — and the bar does not follow them: espresso only, no pour-over. What the room does have is Clinard's own design and the car he sold to fund the place, painted across the wall as a Ferrari 250 California Spider under a surfboard.

Single origins from Ethiopia, Peru, and Bali sit alongside three house blends at $19-23 a bag, and the Ethiopia Guji page goes deepest: Sewda Washing Station at 1,850-2,100 meters, a natural process with a 12-hour soak, NOP and EU organic certification. The shop calls itself 'Sourced Globally & Roasted Locally in San Clemente,' though it has never shown the roastery, and no bag prints a roast date.

Jeff Clinard drew this 700-square-foot room himself: large french doors, metallic gold tabletops, a matte black espresso machine with gold accents, and a coffee bar built by Costa Mesa's Capsule MFG. Brian Kesling's mural of a Ferrari 250 California Spider with a surfboard on top is the whole story on one wall — Clinard sold that car to fund the original pop-up.
