rōk Coffee and Tea

rōk leaves the Wi-Fi off on purpose, because its rooms are for conversation with the people who came along, or for time alone with a cup. A first matcha counts as an occasion here, with a free photo booth to mark it.

The matcha is ceremonial grade from Uji, Japan, first-harvest and stone-ground. Coffee ranges from an americano and a cappuccino to a Spanish latte and cold brew, with decaf on request.

The coffee side saves its invention for cream-capped signatures, like a lotus einspänner with Biscoff crumbles and a chestnut latte under roasted almonds and crushed praline. The Cafe Duo treats espresso the way the house treats matcha, with the shot streaking down the sides of the cup.
