Curator’s note

Five bags, one country, no exceptions — Silverback sells Rwandan coffee and nothing else, grown in the hills the family that runs it comes from. Most single-origin programs are a market position; this one is a return address.

  • weekday mornings
  • a real breakfast
  • beans to take home
  • patio sitting

The coffee

It is all Rwandan Bourbon Arabica grown between 4,000 and 6,500 feet around Musanze, with bag copy that stops at origin level and carries no farm names or roast dates.

Pour-over shows up only in the shop's own line about a three-minute brew. There is no published drink menu, and no competition or barista history behind the bar.
