Curator’s note

Five single origins at a time, each published down to the producer and the altitude it grew at, roasted in-house by a Q-grader who co-founded the company — a proposition that does not soften at the beach. The 2nd Street room runs the same shelf as every other Stereoscope and puts a genuinely long tea list beside it, which is more than most roasters bother with.

The coffee

Five single origins roasted in-house on a Probat P12, each published with producer, varietal, process and altitude — currently Colombia, Burundi, Costa Rica and Honduras, plus a Peru decaf and three blends.

Pour-over, the retail shelf and cleanly handled espresso are what this bar is for, and the program answers to a Coffee Quality Institute Q-grader who roasts in-house rather than buying wholesale.
