Curator’s note

A small room a block off the sand, next door to a bookstore, with no WiFi on purpose: Luxxe built the anti-laptop beach cafe and gave it its own blend. Chaumont's pastries in the case seal the morning.

Espresso with steamed milk foam integrated fully through the cup, so the first sip tastes the same as the last.

The coffee

Milanese-style espresso and pour-overs by the cup from the house Il Laboratorio roast, with the light, sea-air-appropriate Manhattan Beach Blend as this room's signature. Chaumont organic pastries run beside the bar.

The room
