The whole place was built to feel like camping with friends, which is why the coffee bar sits low and the community tables are sized to push customers and baristas into the same conversation. Most shops leave friendliness to whoever is working that morning; here it was specified before the walls went up.

Bird Rock Coffee Roasters out of San Diego pours here, in house espresso blends that carry their own tasting notes, Midnight Surf and a Lima decaf among them. Drip is one named lot, a medium-dark Colombia Tolima, and espresso pulls on a Victoria Arduino with a Nuova Simonelli grinder.

obrARCHITECTURE clad the customer side in century-old reclaimed barn wood and tiled the service counter in black with vertical wood inlays standing in for a forest at night, the pendants above it hung as a constellation. The studio drew the sidewalk patio as well, so the idea holds from the counter out to the curb.
