Since December 2025 the Bermudezes have been roasting their own, and the Ethiopia Chelbessa listing shows the ambition: farm, process, variety, elevation, and a washing station collecting from close to 500 farmers. Two people who had never worked in coffee do not usually start there.

Batch drip carries a rotation of single origins, and the retail bags they roast themselves go as far as farm, process, variety, elevation and harvest window on the Ethiopia Chelbessa natural.

The Bermudezes took an auto shop that had sat empty for a year and a half across from Lomita Elementary and rebuilt it as a lounge, carpeted playpen included, so parents actually get to sit down. Their own rule for the room: it was never meant for pickup; it was designed around people sharing a space.
