Six bags on the shelf carry the shop's own label and real origin detail — a washed Castilla from Cauca, an Ethiopia Koke honey, an EA decaf traced to Descafecol in Manizales. That is a roaster's shelf, in a shop that has been in the Pomona Arts Colony since 2016.

Six retail bags carry real origin detail: Cauca Castilla washed, an Ethiopia Koke honey, and an EA decaf from Descafecol in Manizales, all under the shop's own label and with no roast date printed.

The shop holds a corner of the Pomona Arts Colony in a renovated former VFW building by the railroad tracks, opened there in January 2016 by a young Latinx couple. A veterans' hall is an odd shell for a cortadito counter, and ten years in it have made the fit look obvious.
