Curator’s note

Solid prints a roast date on every bag and prices its single-origin V60 at $3.95, which is a combination almost nobody else manages. Most of what it roasts leaves under other people's brand names; the Artesia cafe is the one place its own name goes on the cup.

The coffee

Nine single origins and four blends, all roasted in-house to order with the roast date printed on the bag, backed by a Farms page that gives altitude and process for every origin it lists.

The Artesia room exists because the roaster needed one: the team moved the machine to the corner of South and Norwalk and opened the cafe around it.
